A Studio Maternity Photoshoot in Biggleswade
A STUDIO MATERNITY PHOTOSHOOT IN BIGGLESWADE
Earlier this year I had the absolute pleasure of capturing Naomi in bloom with her 3rd daughter in my Biggleswade Photography Studio. After they drove from St Albans, I welcomed them with warm pastries, nourishing energy balls & my favourite blend of herbal teas. It was a warm Saturday morning, Naomi had reached out just a week earlier to book a maternity photoshoot in the studio with her family Ben and their two girls before they welcomed their third daughter - what a blessing. As a maternity photographer in Biggleswade, I take an empowering approach to maternity photoshoots. I use a natural light studio so it feels very homely & relaxed. A lot of the women that I capture have never had a maternity photoshoot before so we take it slow, relaxed & just have fun. Naomi wanted to capture this chapter as they are now, awaiting in anticipation for the arrival of their sister and daughter, the chaos of busyness of life with 2 young girls. So we pencilled in a spontaneous last minute photoshoot in my Biggleswade studio & I’m so glad we managed to as sweet baby Elodie joined them just a few weeks later.
I feel really blessed to have a beautiful studio space in our home in Biggleswade. We’re on the outskirts of Baldock Market Town. You and the ones you love are warmly welcomed into our Victorian home, the kettle will be on & the smell of pastries baking in the oven will greet you. We always have the place to ourselves so kids are free to roam if they need a break or we’re splitting the session in halves. My Biggleswade photography studio is calming with natural light flowing through the victorian sash windows… not a clunky studio flash light in sight… just a cosy home from home experience that leaves you feeling relaxed & like you never want to leave. For Naomi’s session we captured moments together as a family & then we got creative for some individual maternity portraits whilst Ben & the girls played in the garden. These are the kind of maternity photography sessions that I love, a celebration of expansion, of life shifting like the seasons, a flurry of chaos & calm as we taken a moment to pause & celebrate mothers.
As a Biggleswade Maternity Photographer I absolutely love working with women and I’ve been honoured to capture so many precious moments in my Bedfordshire Studio as well as out in gorgeous locations such as Wandlebury Country Park in Cambridge, Pegsdon Hills in Hitchin and Ampthill Great Park in Ampthill. Just 5 minutes walk from my Biggleswade studio you’ll find some lovely cafes to enjoy a spot of lunch after our time together, there’s also Jordans Mill in Broom which is famous for its delicious scones… or if you still need to pick up any baby supplies there’s the Biggleswade Retail Park to do a bit of shopping in Next, Marks & Spencers, TK Maxx.
If you’re booking a maternity and newborn photoshoot together like Naomi, I offer a bump to baby photoshoot discount saving you £100!! And I’d absolutely love to welcome you back when your baby has arrived. One of the joys of working with families time and time again is how comfortable we become with one another, to see how the children have grown & evolved, playfulness flows. I hold so much gratitude for the women who place their trust in me to capture their life stories in motherhood & their children, each session is incredibly special & holds a place in my heart. My maternity sessions are tailored to you & what you want to remember, their little curls, the way their foot rested on your baby bump, a photo of just you two before your third child joins you. I am yet to meet a woman who has not deeply cherished and felt empowered by her maternity photoshoot. It’s always an honour to celebrate a woman in pregnancy, to witness her during such a sacred transition is so incredibly special. If you’re looking for a Biggleswade maternity and newborn photographer to capture your story in a relaxed and natural way, I’d love to chat and create some magic together. All my love, Kim xx
