As a dedicated Hertfordshire family photographer, my family photoshoots are curated expertly with you & your family in mind. Ever family photoshoot is thoughtfully planned together, tailored to the energy and needs of your children, full of adventure or cosy at home, oh so full of love and imperfectly honest moments between you and yours. Less smile and say cheese, more honest storytelling connection. A time to venture into nature with your children or get cosy at home. For wandering souls let their imagination be free as we go in search of mythical creatures, forage for berries & stare in wonderment for the fairies dancing in my lens. My approach to family photoshoots is simple - let the children be children and let yourselves be free to join them.

Pause time, forget the to do list & soak in your children, no matter how big they are.

We have had our family photos with Kim every year for the past 8 years - we treasure our time with her and the memories that she creates for our children, for us and the gift of the most beautiful photos after. Family Session FAQ’s

How does booking a shoot work?

If you're ready to book a session, click on the CONTACT FORM with as much information about your session dreams.  Please make sure your email & contact number is filled in correctly so I can get in touch. Keep an eye on your JUNK folder as I tend to land there. 

Once we've agreed on your session date, a £100 deposit & signed contract is needed to hold this in my diary, and then we're good to go.

what to expect?

About 4 weeks before your session you’ll receive a beautiful session guide to help get you ready, and we can have a pre session catch up on the phone or over zoom. My maternity sessions can take place in your home, in my home from home studio, or immersed in nature. I want you to feel like you're catching up with an old friend; my intention is to give you a cherished experience, to hold space, to celebrate you as you are.  I'm drawn to nature & working within the seasons, we'll venture outside in the beautiful golden light or get cosy at home, to tell a story of your love.  

When is best to enquire?

I always recommend for family sessions, to reach out with a few months notice ahead of the time of year you’d like to your family photoshoot. March-May is blossom, June - July wildflowers, July & August cornfields and golden grasses, September & October golden autumnal forests. Please note due to cold weather I don’t usually recommend outdoor family photoshoots November - February and photoshoots take place in your own home in winter months.

Extra Family Photoshoot FAQS

  • I’m available for daytime sessions on a Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday & either at my home studio in Biggleswade or in your home. Most of my clients book a few hours off for their session or are still on leave for their newborn session. I can sometimes be flexible with these days, please let me know on enquiry. I work one Saturday or Sunday a month so if you know you’d like a weekend session, please reach out as soon as possible as they book quickly. For outdoor location sessions these take place at either sunrise or sunset, when the light is most beautiful; they are held on a Wednesday or Thursday.

  • If a little rain doesn’t bother you, and it’s not an absolute downpour, we can still shoot. But if you’d rather not, we can move your session to the nearest available date in my diary. I keep a close eye on the weather in the run up to your session date & will keep in touch with you a few days prior if it’s looking like we need to reschedule.

  • My home studio is based in Biggleswade & is a perfect setting for newborn, maternity & motherhood sessions. I use locations in the Biggleswade, Potton, Letchworth areas. I take a long time getting to know my locations as it’s important to understand how the landscape changes with the season as well as the movement of the light in the space; I also look for easy & safe access for clients. I’m always happy to travel, there are additional travel fees outside of 20 miles; I have had clients in the Lake District & Scotland as well as clients in Cambridge, Bedford, Hertfordshire & London. If I’m travelling with my family, I always share my dates on my social media & newsletters as this saves travel costs for you.
