You might be thinking about a studio newborn photoshoot to celebrate the arrival of your newborn baby. As a Bedfordshire studio newborn photographer, my promise to you as new parents is to give you a gentle & relaxed studio newborn photoshoot. Zero awkward posing, just natural & laid back newborn led sessions giving you time to soak in these newborn days together as a family. I photographed these beautiful three in my cosy home newborn photography studio in Bedfordshire, based on the outskirts of Baldock in Hertfordshire. Their session was so incredibly chilled, the perfect way to start 2025. It felt like we’d known one another for years… like so many of my newborn photography sessions it was just like catching up with old friends. As a natural light studio photographer, there are no big bulky studio lights… I use a big beautiful victorian window to create the most soft & natural flattering light. Lucie and I had connected through our love of photography as Lucie herself is an incredible wedding photographer with Jamie also in the creative industry. Photographing another photographer is always so so special, we can chat all things art and creation as we go. Little Eliza was the most tiny newborn at just 6 days young, we made sure to take plenty of feeding, settling & changing breaks throughout our time together; I only ever book 1 newborn session a day so there is never any rush or pressure to be finished in an allocated timeframe; I would hate for any new mother or new parents to feel rushed or pressured during this most precious time of slowing down & soaking in those early newborn days. The morning was so incredibly special, watching them in awe of their little girl, this tiny human they’d both created; and we were able to capture her tiny little dimple as she yawned; Jamie & Lucie’s favourite little detail of her. It’s safe to say this session left me questioning whether I was totally & definitely not having any more babies… oh my goodness my mothering heart was very emotional thinking back to the baby days with my two girls. It really is true what they say, time seems to speed up when you become a mother. As a newborn photographer in Bedfordshire, I am always so honoured to be asked to capture your life’s most precious and sacred chapters; creating little keepsakes of these fleeting days to be cherished forever.
