During your newborn session I focus on gentle, mindful connection, use of natural light, zero intrusive studio lights and always practice safe handling of your newborn baby.

From the moment you arrive at my home studio, situated just off the A1 in Biggleswade, on the outskirts of Hertfordshire & bordering Cambridge, you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how homely & non studio the space feel:
I’ve been a maternity, newborn and family photographer for nearly eight years, helping families just like yours feel comfortable, supported and celebrated.
The session is relaxed & laid-back. I never book anything else in on the day, giving you my undivided attention & hospitality. Throughout your session I’ll guide you through everything, but you’ll feel like you’re just catching up with an old friend.

When you book with Kim Rose, you’ll receive a pre-session consultation. We’ll chat in advance about what you’re longing to capture, how your baby is doing, what imagery speaks to you, and how I can make you comfortable on the day.
I always provide flexible timing: when you book a newborn session with me, the date is “floating” which means we can move it depending on when little one arrives & how you’re all doing. Newborns don’t keep to schedules, so the session length and flow accommodate feeds, naps and cuddles.
A warm welcome into my home, this truly is a home away from home studio experience: warm, cosy, private and set up for you and your little ones to enjoy and relax. You’ll feel totally at ease from the moment you walk in, you simply won’t want to leave.
Thoughtful touches including organic postpartum care supplies, nourishing teas and deliciously fresh baked pastries will be waiting for you on arrival.
Gentle guidance: I’ll suggest simple, natural poses and interactions to bring out connection and emotion — you’ll still feel like you with zero awkwardness. I promise.

Booking Your Newborn Studio Session in Cambridge
Because a calm, stress free studio session requires planning (especially with newborns), I suggest reaching out early to secure your spot. Most mums-to-be book me around their 12 or 20 week scan but if you find me a little later in your journey, please still get in touch as sometimes I have availability.
So first step, pop me an enquiry via the website “Get In Touch” page.
We’ll chat about your preferred session date (ideally within the first few weeks of baby’s life for that “tiny newborn baby” but honestly, any time to capture your baby is perfect.
I’ll answer any questions you have about outfits, what to expect from a session with me, any worries you might have, sibling inclusion, and how the session flows.
Once we’re confirmed & deposit is paid, you’ll receive a welcome guide with everything you need to know (where the studio is, what to bring, how to prepare).
On the day: arrive relaxed, we’ll take it slow, we’ll have fun, and you’ll go home with heart-warming memories and photographs to treasure.
